About Us

Our Genesis

In February 2012, Kingdom Journey founder Stu Sheldon traveled with twenty other men of his congregation and their Senior Pastor to the Holy Land. The impact of this pilgrimage on his faith and life was profound. Stu prayed that God show him how to repay what He, through that 10-day experience, gave to him. Kingdom Journey is the answer.

The first Kingdom Journey class started in the fall of 2012 at Northside UMC, in Atlanta, Georgia. Peachtree Road UMC, also in Atlanta, launched in 2015. As of 2023, over 360 families have completed Kingdom Journey.

Our Vision

Future generations of Christians draw closer to God earlier in their lives…and never step back…so they are stronger in their personal relationship and actively make the world - Christian and secular - a better place through their discipleship and witness.
